Kim is a triple board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in integrative psychiatry and complex mental health care. With certifications in Family Practice, Emergency Care, and Psychiatric-Mental Health, she brings over a decade of high-acuity clinical experience to her work. She provides psychiatric and medication management.
Kim owns her own integrative health practice, Kraken Psychiatry, but sees clients for integrative psychiatry through PeopleFirst Clinic PLLC in-person and via telehealth. She blends conventional psychiatric medicine with functional and holistic approaches, tailoring treatment to the unique biology, psychology, and life context of each patient. Kim completed her psychiatry training practicum with Tim (PeopleFirst Clinic's founder). Kim's focus on integrative medicine while focusing on advocacy and understanding each person's unique story, was a natural fit within PeopleFirst Clinic.
Her clinical philosophy is rooted in the belief that healing requires depth; addressing the underlying factors that influence mental wellness. This includes a precision-medicine approach informed by psychopharmacology, advanced psychotherapy, micronutrient and functional lab testing, and lifestyle interventions.
Kim has spent the last eight years in emergency and crisis stabilization settings, where she honed expertise in acute care, trauma-informed practice, and care for underserved populations. Her training includes an integrative psychiatry fellowship and advanced education in neuroinflammation and the brain-gut-microbiota axis. She is committed to providing evidence-informed and compassionate care for ages 6YO-65YO.
